Greetings to the group.
In 2006, I was a cardiology fellow, all set to pursue electrophysiology. At the ACC conference that year I first heard Dr Stephan Achenbach speak about this new technique called cardiac CT which allows us to evaluate coronaries without catheterization. The images blew me away. That talk was a pivot for me and I pursued further training. In the early days of cardiac CT, it was hard to find jobs that would let you practice the knowledge aquired. While the promise and potential of the modality was undeniable, it took more than 15 years for the CT to become mainstream and endorsed by the guidelines. Now I am privileged to train the next generation of cardiac imagers . It's been an exciting and rewarding journey.
